Good interior design always uses color (or lack thereof), texture, contrast, and shape/form. This month, we have covered everything but the very last concept. Shape is considered a two-dimensional object (think prints, fabric, etc.), while a form is three-dimensional (think furniture, sculpture, etc.).
Although shape/form can be one of the more obvious elements, it is sometimes the least considered. You can use bold shapes for a punchy, graphic feel like the rooms below:
Mixing both straight and curvy lines can create a more balanced look, while using very distinct lines creates a modern vibe.
Several furniture pieces can highlight shape and form. To bring it to the bedroom, try using a unique headboard:

I love the different textures in the same color. You don’t need to go with tons of color to make a striking room. Love the pillow cases and the headboards!
oh my goodness this just indpired me to add a bit more fun back into my home, I think I have gone just a touch too grown up and seriou. It use to have a little whimsy about it and I liked that!
