LAST WEEK TO ENTER $500 Container Store Giveaway!!  Details below post…

Looking to add a little spice to your life? After taking a peek into some of these Spanish-influenced rooms you might feel inspired to add a hit of wrought iron. Or, perhaps play up a rich mahogany piece… or two! A warm palette, antique oil paintings, plaster walls and exposed wood beams are just a few of the staples of style seen in many Spanish-style homes. Update an old Spanish-style home with more modern touches, or bring a Spanish flair to a newer home with dark wood trim and wide plank flooring. Or you can always opt for adding some salsa music to give the atmosphere a little flavor!

  1. Spanish style always brings to mind heavy dark furniture and tile floors…it is good to see some other examples!

  2. So many of the rooms have exposed beams. Love that look!

  3. I love just a touch of spanish flair. My home is sort of Modern Farmhouse, but I have just a few Spanich touches. Some rustic wrought iron old cnavas paintings, and a large wood beam in the dining room. Love it and would love to add one in the vaulted ceiling of my study! yum!

  4. Gorgeous, I love the white and the natural wood.

  5. I like the mixture of woods. Didn’t really know it was a spanish influence.

  6. I love the canopy bed and all the exposed wood beams.

  7. oooh, all of the archways! swoon!

  8. We added a Spanish style fixture. The part that looks like glass is actually mica. It really adds a lot of personality to our entryway.

Loving all the white! All the pics are fabulous, the bedroom up top is my favorite :)

  10. Love these images! I studied in Spain for a few short months, and these are making me so nostalgic…. lovely post!

Love your website! Hope to win the gift card!!!

  12. I have this antique dresser that is, like a lot of antique furniture, on casters. Useless casters, but still, casters. As I have it in the attic and it is a tall piece, I want to take the casters off so it can tuck a little further under the slanted walls – I’d prefer it on sliders too, as they move far better.
